Florian chokes out Thomas at UFC Fight Night

Kenny Florian stepped to the front of the group of lightweight contenders when he beat Din Thomas with the rear naked choke in the first round. Florian took advantage of an apparent knee injury and is now a strong contender for Sean Sherk’s UFC lightweight belt.

Chris Leben won a close fight in the third round over Terry Martin. Leben was on the verge of losing when he popped Martin in the jaw with a left hand. Leben nailed Martin again to end the fight.

In other fights, Nate Quarry beat Pete Sell on a third-round TKO. and Nate Diaz defeated Junior Accunsao with the guillotine choke.
